I've spoken to developers who are working on making open source coldfusion app servers and they are saying its very easy. by next year there will be atleast 5 diff cf servers out there and by the end of the year there will be a free open source c# cf server out there. I think macromedia needs to really rethink its pricing when cf7 comes out as at present its rather steep. they brag about how all the extra's would cost you more if you bought the extra's for ASP php etc but why not just make a stripped down version and leave that crap out.
