We did this in the past in an Intranet that all sorts of weird restrictions on what could be run where. We loaded Word on the server and ran it from a batch file that got fired by CFExecute (being fed the file name.path in an attribute) We set up word with a macro that automatically saved the document as soon as it loaded then shut itself back down, a sort-of onLoad() script :-) Worked like a charm.
