Brian, I coulda sworn I had an ex-QANTM tutorial up on the 'net
detailing this but I'll be blowed if I can find it

instead, check out this post, esp the working CF+SQL code at the bottom
(the guy must be using every datatype that MSAccess can do so you can
see the context of use) - his issues had nothing to do with
cfqueryparam.

=30364&forumid=4

one of the best things about cfqp's is that you'll never have to worry
about delims again (esp if you have to slum it away from your SQLServer
db's and use Access)

Barry,
Most of the problem was me being an idiot. I was referring to a
field name that did not exist. The where clause below works.

and (((tbl_GENTracker.DateReceived) >=
###dateformat(form.sDate,'dd/mm/yyyy')###))

I could not get cpqueryparam to work. Do you have an examples of it
working.

Brian

Brian: you might have grief with the delims:

SQLServer date delims: '
Jet/MSAccess date delims: #

which means
> Where receivedDate > ###10/1/2004###

YUCK! that's why I religiously used cfqueryparams (with no grief)

you might also have issues with dd/mm/yyyy vs mm/dd/yyyy since the
internal JET db engine bypasses the MSAccess settings

try these formats instead. the second is more correct but the first
seems to work (from memory)

I'm not having much luck with it.

I take it you can't use <cfqueryparam> ?
