I feel a bit awkward about this now. I have been vocal for a long
time about the fact that the Sydney CFUG meetings have not been in a
central location but in what is really the far east of the Sydney
area. What's incorrectly described as the "Central Business
District". It's this long trek on an unreliable train system that
meant for me to attend a CFUG meeting I had to leave for the meetings
about 2pm to get there.

I have said for a long time, that we ought to either move the Sydney
CFUG meetings westward towards the centre of Sydney - more like
Parramatta for example, or else have another CFUG to cater for those
people who live and work where the majority of Sydney-siders live.

But I have always thought there was no point in having any new group
if it ends up wrecking the existing one by taking away members,
speakers, resources etc.

Now, however there's some doubt about the viability of the Sydney CFUG
it seems to me. Strange, since there are so many CF developers in
this region.

What makes me feel awkward is that I'm working in a project in Milsons
Point at the moment, and this recent meeting (which was cancelled) was
to be the first I could attend for many months. And this means I'm
uable to support a Western Sydney CFUG (at least with my attendance).
I leave WIndsor at 6.45am (if the train comes close to time) and get
back around 7.15pm

So on my present situation, if a western CFUG gets started, I'm going
to have to say the same as I've said about the existing CFUG - I cant
get to the meetings! Ironic huh.

Cheers
