Hi All,

We're investigating the feasibility of running regular half or full day seminars/workshops on various topics for Macromedia developers around Australia (including non-capital-city locations) - similar to the Flash Communication Server tour I did for Macromedia. The seminars would cost say 150-200 per person (to be determined - a fair few variables to tie down, but obviously larger groups will reduce individual costs).

The big question is what subjects would you like us to cover? I thought people might be interested in us covering topics other than the regular "how do I use tag X", here are some ideas:

Getting Requirements: Practical, common sense ways to work with clients to find out what they want up front.

Technical Architecture: What is a "good" technical architecture, what ideas are out there for us to use, how to detect BS ideas, and how can we use it all to manage complexity in our ColdFusion projects?

Bridge Your Skills: Flash, Flex, Java or Contribute development for ColdFusion programmers.

Remedial Computer Science - Abstract Data Types: Trees, Linked Lists, heaps, parsers, sorting, searching - cherry picking the most useful programming ideas and techniques out of a typical undergraduate degree and condensing it all into a single seminar.

Testing: Writing unit test harnesses, automatically running tests, performance and scalability testing.

Are there any other topics you would be interested in? What would you like to be able to do that would make your development life easier?

Cheers,
Robin
