we have 2500 notebook users, all with the full macromedia suite of products 
installed.... that means potentially 2500 website creators.
 
we have an intranet running CF, so specify that ANY website created by students or 
staff be created as CFM templates, even if if is standard html content, so that it 
will be secured under the Application.cfm of the site.
 
if they are creating a site locally and they need to name files *.cfm (rather than 
*.html) do you see the importance now?
 
do you know what happens if someone tries to view an html file that is located under a 
website secured by Application.cfm?

why not call the file .html?
