Scott, I have bought Dell machines for the last few yeas maybe 20 - 24 of them from Dublin to SE england not one problem had some issues and they just sent out a replacement next day.
I have a Del 8300 and I needed new batteries, I ran Dell AU and the phone goes through to the states and they informed me "we don't sell spares in AU, is not worth is we don't make a profit" hmm how do you expect people to buy you machines if you don't sell the spares in AU! I worked for a firm in Toowong and they had a desktop delivered U/S and it took 3 weeks for it to be collected and 2 for it to be returned back. As I said in Europe they just swap them over. I guess its no go Dell in AU.
