Bec Try everything. Look for full time work but if something short term comes along take it. Even if you have a full time position you should keep an eye on the job market because it always help to know what jobs are out there and what salary expectations are. If you haven't already been hunting for a job you should be doing so now. Use Seek, CareerOne, Agencies, Newspapers, anything. The point is you should keep trying the more interviews you do the more you learn about interviews and the better you'll do in an interview just treat the process as part of the learning.
Full time positions are good to get especially if you are a uni or college leaver but don't limit yourself If you end up getting a choice of roles then you take the one you like best. I graduate in two weeks, just two weeks before christmas. Should I go to agencies (I'm in brisbane), or do you all think it's important to look for a full time job as soon as possible?
