Final word. The process of "moving" was more complicated than expected. And
kudos to Mike for his efforts. Other issues cropped up in the move which
have/are being fixed.

Moral of the story is ensure you have backups of EVERYTHING (which I did
thankfully). And to Mike at AFPWebworks thanks for your tireless efforts.

I think Mike is angry with me (heh not unusual) but really has bent over
backwards - I was too foolish to truly appreciate his efforts. My mistake.

Making a pretty major change like moving a site from one server to another
is a big ask but Mike has indeed done just that. And I am very grateful.

Thank you again Mike for your efforts and apologies for doubting you in any
fashion.

All of my external emails are scanned for viruses using the latest
available Norton AV signatures. Also I do NOT maintain an Address book or
Contact list to minimise the risk of infecting recipients of my messages for
viruses. I also prefer "plain text" emails for speed and efficiency.

I can't believe Peter posted that. Beyond angry?? I'm APPALLED.

Peter gets the hosting for the CFUG free, as my contribution to the
ColdFusion community. He wanted the site moved. It didnt need to be
moved, but he wanted it moved. So we started moving it. At 10.30pm
last night, we hit a snag when one of the users on the database couldn't be
created, and I suggested we load the rest and get back to that in the
morning.

Peter said that would be fine - upload the database except the fusetalk
tables and we'll do them tomorrow. No indication from him that it was
unsatisfactory. Then not five minutes later he's here saying he's 'beyond
angry'.

Here's a direct quote from our instant messenger conversation:
Peter: You have the Db working. I can do the rest. Thank you!!!!
Mike: the fusetalk tables wouldnt upload because user fusetalk doesnt have
ownership of this databse
Peter: How long for db?
Mike: tomorrow
[other stuff snipped]
Peter: ACTCFUG tables only (prefixed)

That's what was done, and five minutes later here he is on this list bagging
me and saying he's 'beyond angry'.

Sometimes you wonder why you do favours for people.
