heh..

Sean, personally i think that a lot of people use it daily and i'ma
thinking Macromedia must not realise this as much as they typically
should.

Up until about 5 months ago, I always strayed away from CFSCRIPT mainly
due to the fact Macromedia haven't really added much to it in aaaaages -
thinking that hmm... this could suddenly drop off the feature list.

Having said that, i've not yet met a CF coder who has not used it when
possible? to me that illustrates that it should be considered for
enhancement or even new features at the very least (ie DUMP() method would
be SO Damn useful).

Its amazing that CFSCRIPT is soooo similiar to ECMA yet different. Why go
down that path and suddenly make a left turn with stuff like "LTE" instead
of "<=" to me that just didn't add up.

As for Commercial justification, i'm not sure a valid argument could win
that over as in many ways what is the commercial justification for giving
us CFFORM in DHTML / FLASH / JAVA. Some use it, but not the majority imho
:)

I would like to see CFSCRIPT in enhanced, as a part-time
ActionScript/JavaScript coder i find it frustrating at times to use
CFSCRIPT as i'm prone to situations like "for(var i=0 ..." which in turns
creates a bug in my code. My mistake of course, but it would be easier on
us folk who use common languages like AS & JS.
