I said it as it was a bit of an online argument lol. I disagreed with the people behind it and thought it was more jealousy based then anything else.
I dont know the guy personally but I have read a copy of his CFC book and it was nothing but a grab for cash. If I remember correctly the book is a few hundred pages long but only 15 pages max are useful all the rest is non required code pastes and other ramblings about who created C++ and who created Small talk. Which is nothing but padding, the authors simply couldnt think of anything good to write so they tried to pad the book with useless info I once read 100 pages of 1 of the Fusebox books only to find the first 100 pages had nothing to do with teaching fusebox so I gave up and now its a door stop. I now actually support the people that warned me and no longer pass them off as jealous. Maybe he is a top instructor and even a top guy, but he sure as hell is guilty of making a dash for cash when it comes to some of his books. stick to instructing I say and if ya can only fill a book with 15 pages relating to the title then simply sell it as a 15 page book. Now I get this strange feeling this thread will turn into a slanging match lol. <cf_bodyarmour> M@ </cf_bodyarmour> --- You are currently subscribed to cfaussie as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Aussie Macromedia Developers: http://lists.daemon.com.au/
