Title: RE: [cfaussie] Re: Blackstone (Beta) Example Apps
LMAO

Yeah its like that, while I know what Seans talking about, it does feel like a monty python skit waiting to unfold - beta, there is no beta, of course if the beta were to exist we could talk about the beta that really doesn't exist which would ential it does exist but not in the sense of real existance - ya follow me good, now if we were to bring information about the existance of the beta that does not by the way exist, then clearly we cannot discuss features of the technology in the beta that does not exist. So how does one differentiate between features that do exist in the beta that doesn't exist because technically those features don't exist.

:)

This beta looks like a lot of trouble. Glad I bought VHS.

First rule of beta,

THERE IS NO BETA.

Second rule of beta,

THERE IS NO BETA.

(for the "fight club" fans)

I've posted many a thread/topic on how silly the Blackstone & NDA are present. In there terms/conditions of all Macromedia beta tests your not even allowed to admit you know of the beta or features within the beta itself. Furthermore you cannot discuss problems, proposed price models, technology etc of a beta unless its within the BETA forum's) themselves.

If you do any of the above, you basically breech your NDA. NDA police come swarming in through your office, slap you around with a trout and make you confess / repent your sins.

Its pretty clear in that regard, in that you may know what's going on, you could probably explain the information to your stake holders (as you kind of take onboard the NDA on behalf of your company) but you aren't supposed to publicly admit any information about it *cough* Mr Tilbrook *cough*.

That being said and done, its total crap with Blackstone as there is enough public information now online that kind of dilutes the whole BETA NDA, as its now effectively public knowledge that for instance Blackstone as CFDOCUMENT tag. Yet discussion of it is still considered taboo via other mediums then the forum.

Like I said, its as if you swear in front of your child, then one day when he/she swears you smack them? Who is at fault the child or you for not knowing better.

I'd personally consider the NDA breeched world-wide and lets get some healthy discussion going on about the product in an open forum(s). That won't happen of course as legally I'm unsure, even though the Blackstone taboo word is public, I'd still play it safe and assume it's a bad word to say period.

Scott.
