Hey Geoff Yeah - it definitely works. The biggest gotcha is:
-------------------- Add old-passwords to the "[mysqld]" section of the my.ini file and then restart the service. For example: [mysqld] # enable old passwords - for older client connectivity old-passwords ------------------ The location of the my.ini file will depend on your service startup parameters.
