I didn't say you can't.

I said the fastest way (to get notification) was to use the news
extension since it blinks whenever Macromedia issues a new tech note
or blog post. You don't have to keep going to check something -
instead you have a visual indicator right there in your browser,
regardless of which page you are on.

You can use live bookmarks to subscribe to any RSS feed but you have
to go look at the bookmark - you don't get the automatic visual
indication of new content.

Hardly "standards based tags" since this is a brand new feature in
Firefox (and Firefox is the only browser that supports this at the
moment?) which is why it's taking a while for people to get around to
adding these Firefox-friendly tags. I only added the tags to my site
after a couple of other people told me about the trick.

The various markme blogs all have the tags.

I'll mention it to the Web Team. Which page(s) would you expect to see
the tags / feeds on?
