a few years ago my mother recieved a letter from the Bank of Ireland... addressed to my father with "deceased" at the end of his name.
(to paraphrase) To Whom it may concern, you're dead. Can your estate please pay your overdraft by this date.... Regards So, my dad is alive and well.. And it freaked the sh1t out of my mother. Esp since her sister had just died etc. So my dad went mad, and started sending the bank letters etc. He couriered over a letter one day to the manager, and the idiot who had made the mistake in the first place intercepted it and never gave it in. But he did sign for the letter, the sap. So the manager found out and i'm sure there was big trouble in the bank. Anyway, at least this kinda stuff doesnt just happen in Oz!
