Finally got it working.  The documentation isn't very accurate so we have found 
but all is good now.

Hi Steve,

I got it to work by specifying the 'format' in 'cf_img_save' statement.

As in:

<cf_img_save file="#expandPath('testImg2.jpg')#" format="jpg"/>

The doco says that the file extenstion will set the format but I'd say 
that this is a bug...
