Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with combining PHP and Coldfusion.
Here is the scenario...
We have a client who runs a website which is running on PHP. They have another server which is running coldfusion (as they don't want to run php and coldfusion on the same machine). There is a news component which we have built in CF and they are including these "components" into the website using PHP includes. eg <?php include("http://server2.whatever.com/news.cfm"); ?>
It works but 9 times out of 10 it is extremely slow (like 25 - 40 seconds to load) (even locally). When we comment out the includes the page loads instantaneously. If we run the coldfusion pages it also loads instantaneously. I am assuming that the transfer of data from CF -> PHP and then display is what is causing the delay. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this?
Thanks all....
