Hey Jeremy,
Haven't seen your problem exactly but it sure sounds like your pages are being
blocked by the new privacy controls built into IE6. You're likely to hit it
when your page attempts to access different domains, or you do unnatural things
with cookies, for example.
Basically, your site is not "P3P compliant". What you need is a Compact Privacy
Policy header. A Compact Privacy Policy is a HTTP header that you put on your
page, either using a META tag or CFHEADER tag. It may look something like this.
Don't copy it - this one may not work for you. (But then again it might :-)
<CFHEADER NAME="P3P" VALUE="CP='NOI DSP COR NID CUR TAIi PSDi OUR STP UNI STA
PRE'" />
Basically, it's a self-declaration of what you do and don't do regarding the
user's privacy. All a lot of humbug if you ask me, since you can self-declare
anything you like and who's to say you comply?.
Where to get a Compact Privacy Policy?
There's no shortage of humbug merchants (consultants) who are happy to charge
you big bucks to create one for your site. Fortunately there's a few places you
can generate your own compact privacy policy for free. Try
http://www.privacycouncil.com - there's a link to "Free P3P solution".
