Damon Cooper also made a post awhile back on the merits of choosing a
vendor who emulates a Macromedia technology vs Macromedia itself..sure
it was coldfusion vs bluedragon but much of what his argument and
points in many ways apply to this discussion.

Look at the end of the day its 12k hurdle and not all (even companies
i've worked for were they have the bankroll) are willing to stake
their internal reputation / buying power on the product. Despite it
sounding like negative moaning, i've been in in 5 places now all very
capable of buying FLEX but choosing based on the figures. Its why
Lazlo maybe an option despite its flawed technology capabilities it
still does a job well - just don't expect too much from it.

I'm a biiiiiiig fan of FLEX and i've never made a secret of that
hehehe but by god, before this life is over I WILL have an employer
sharing my flex position.

p.s
At work they all think i work for Macromedia because i keep raving
about the product range ..and now they are looking to buy some units
of various software...so MM you owe me! hehe
