I was invited around to dinner tonight to sort out an issue with a next to strangers web site.
They had Studio MX (not the 2004 version) so installed MX 6.0. Super fast ADSL so downloaded CFMX7 developer - took about 30 minutes? After just installing MX6.0 I un-installed it. Removed all the folders bar the wwwroot/mysite and proceeded to install CF7. On WinXP Pro it worked perfectly. CF7 seemed to "remember" settings (didn't flush the registry) but was simple enough to repoint from CFUSIONMX to CFUSIONMX7. Result 1 happy non customer. A bit out of my normal routine (especially being in Brisbane) but a worthwhile effort installing the Dev version of the best CF yet - setting up the site in Dreamweaver to talk to their server in New Zealand too. Easy! One point of contention is the person gave me $100 cash. I would have been happy with nothing (or $20 for a pack of smokes) but they can already see the advances MM have made with CF7. I'll have to wait till I get back home to get into it and cannot wait! Thanks to the ColdFusion team for a product I have been waiting for 10 years now - just a few more weeks before I can start playing with it! PS - I noticed a few bugs with the Rich Form validation demos (must have been rushed LOL!) God bless all of you and persevere MK as CF7 is a joy to behold! Later!
