HI Chad MYSql rocks I'd go with it would have a lot of trouble with SQL server if you wanted to suddenly use a *nix OS
main diff is data types of columns and also the current release of mysql doesnt support stored procs how ever I think 5.0 may when it comes out. I've seen many speed graphs showing mysql vs sqlserver for under a hundred Simultaneous request mysql isnt that much faster but when it comes to a thousend or so Simultaneous requests it blows sql server away also the pricing is way better. so yeah main diffs store procs column data types and what steve said. m@ ps: no doubt microsoft could provide you with data from microsoft partners who have done speed tests and shown sql server is faster. --- You are currently subscribed to cfaussie as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Aussie Macromedia Developers: http://lists.daemon.com.au/
