Thanks Brian,
I did think of that and added a crossdomain.xml file with a *.* rule that I hoped would help but sadly it didn't make any difference.

Brett, I have a little bit of experience with flash remoting but no experience with the Pollster App. What I found to be the biggest problem with remoting was that sandbox security. Make sure the flash app and the CFC are in the domain.

Subject: [cfaussie] Pollster
Hi,
I've been looking for a simple solution for those 'polling' type forms that I've seen on many and varied web sites. Someone pointed out to me that there was one already incorporated into FarCry and they thought it actually come off a Devnet DRK disk. And indeed there is one on FarCry and it is from Devnet (DRK 4) and eventually I found that there was an updated version on DRK 5. (It's a flash component talking to a db via flash remoting (I think) with the admin system writen in CF).
So I've installed the app and created a poll but I can't get the Flash component to connect to the db. All I get is a message that says "We are sorry. An Error occurred and the poll will not be able to continue." I've checked the flash services gateway and that seems ok. Now what? Can anyone provide some tips on how to debug this issue please?
Of course, the only reason that I'm actually prepared to ask this question here is that the demo pollster on the FarCry site has the same problem: http://farcry.daemon.com.au/go/spectra/
Many thanks,
Brett B)
