And let me tell you why...

1.
Instead of a simple URL, say for example
http://www.abobe.com/getacrobat/

You need to get it from here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

What's up with that?

2.
You need to pick the operating system that you want to download
acrobat for.. not too much of a problem... the problem is if you
select "Windows 2000" you only get the option to download Adobe Reader
6.0. You need to select "Windows 2000 SP2" to be given the option to
get 7.0.. I though Acrobat was a consumer level product.. I'm sure my
mum has no idea what Service Pack she is running...

3.
When you finally do get it do you think you get a simple file like
"AcrobatInstall.exe" no, you get a file named "ytb01_efgsip.exe",
which then initiates the full Acrobat download and install. In this
world where we are scared to click on unknown exe's, I think this is a
major problem.

4.
While I was writing this email it was downloading in the background. A
dialog box popped up and took focus and the key I hit was the one that
defaulted to downloading and installing the crappy browser toolbar
that comes with it as well as some Photoshop companion program....
just to spite me I'm sure.

Grrrrrrrr is all I have to say.
