The reason these parsers are written in perl, is because PERL is
designed for parsing large amounts of text. :)

CF would be many magnitudes slower at parsing these logs than perl,
python, even sh. If you don't give a stuff about performance, you will
probably need to write your own parser as I've never come across a CF
one.
