all these applications are actual different applications/websites/intranets
or what ever. everything originates from the original application and you
wouldnt have to code anything else into any of your other applications to
access that value. If you need to add a site to be able to access the
value, just add it to the list.
Cant really see how you can get it easier than that, especially when the
SERVER scope is shared accross the WHOLE server and you dont need to know
anything special to access it. At least the Application scope is tied down
to the application running it.

I think to solve the actual problem about accessing certain information
across different applications, server scope is a good solution. Matt
doesn't need to store the whole app scope in server scope, just access the
number of users currently accessing the application or many applications.
Copying the application scope every single time you want to know how many
users are using an application, would be inefficient.
