I FEEL DIRTY.... ColdFusion has been around more then a....well I'll let you all finish that. I woke up this morning to look on the website and go what the? I swear I'm going to send this into ROVE. Of course he will go what the? and peg it.
Anyway, The merger, I would have to agree with Robin on this one, It will be very good for ColdFusion as Adobe does not have a server-side app. And lets face it guys and gals, it could have been a hell of lot worse, i.e. "Macromedia Closes its doors" OR, "Microsoft takes the M out of Macromedia" Its all about survival of the fitess in the IT market. This merger had to have gone on for longer then most of us know, at least a year, So the whole Flash Paper vs. PDF I believe will remain the same as I would think that Adobe would have some sort of say in it. i.e. "Well bob if we merge the company i believe we build on flash paper as we have it in so many homes" bla bla bla. Or even worse.... We could all end up programming .NET *Shiver* Jeremy my 2c proudly sponsered by "Duff Beer" > > This is a confirmation for the MM development community that we've > > been backing the right horse all along :-) > > I've got to admit, I was taken back by the news at first.
