This month at CFUG QLD:

We're back again at our new CBD location!
Don't forget that it will be the first day back from the Labour Day long
weekend.

Scott Barnes will be showcasing a new FLEX Framework titled
SynergyFLEX. Its main purpose is to show potential FLEX users
how to not only build FLEX applications but also guide them through
the adventure of Architecting a FLEX application from start to finish.
This presentation is suited for those of you who have yet to begin
development of FLEX and highlights things to be mindful of when
picking this technology.

Although this talk is on the same topic as this Friday's Macromedia
Community Online Seminar
(details here http://www.macromedia.com/go/anzcommunity/),
Scott assures me that the CFUG talk will be a more indepth and
he'll be able to interact with cfug members and field more questions
than the online format allows. Either way, if you're at all interested
in this topic, it will be well worth catching both presentations, or is
an ideal way for people to find out what its all about if you can't
make the Friday online version.

This month has also seen some major announcements about
Adobe's planned aquisition of Macromedia. We'll be talking in
depth about this, and how it may end up effecting all of us.

There will also be a general open floor Q&A discussion, so bring your
questions and problems.

We will have our usual news update from Macromedia.
We've got offers from New Riders, Peachpit and O'Reilly book publishers.

As usual there will be free pizza, subways and drinks.

If you haven't already, then please RSVP by 12noon Tuesday, 3rd of
May, as it helps make sure there's enough pizza and subs for everyone.

As an added incentive, everyone who gets me an RSVP
will go into the draw for some fabulous door prizes.
(think how valuable these Macromedia branded items will be in the future!
A must for collectors)
IF YOU DON'T RSVP, YOU DON'T GO IN THE PRIZE DRAW!
So send that email now!!

Don't miss it.
See you there.
