its pretty dumb the way you have to set it

You have to install it, then remove the domain that gets installed, add
another domain and then select ODBC as the domain type.  But before that,
you have to set up a system DSN for it to hook into.

Very cumbersom setup

The beauty of this is that you can install the ftp server on lots of
servers, but all read off the same database which makes maintenance very
easy

I haven't looked into ODBC with respect to Serv-U. I assume you mean it
puts all the account details into a database? How do you set it up?
