This is blatant scare mongering, and is just sooo amazingly not likely that
your statement is just not funny.

The trick is that these 'scams' or 'errors' are designed to catch the
gullible. Clearly by your Macromedia/Adobe statement, you fall squarely into
this target audience, so any of these evil, scum sucking companies that send
out fake invoices are completely justified in sending one to you, as the
evidence points to the likelyhood that they'll get some money out of you.
