Yep same thing hapened to me when I ran a plugin update, ended up with
google uk instead of oz. Look under...
 
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins

You can edit the .src files with a text editor.

If it's the firefox start page look out for the query string appended
to the location...under tools/options.

Lastly I think there is something in about:config but stuffed if I can
remember??

Firefox is very very cool. Download the foxytunes plugin and your
coding days will be happy days :)
