I'm looking for a new job and am trying to determine whether a permanent position or contracting would be best. I've never contracted in Australia before and am considering it as an option.
Here are the pros and cons of each as far as I can tell. Permanent Long term job security (arguable?) Superannuation included (a con if super is not a priority at the moment?) Contract Short term job security only No super But a higher remuneration Greater variety of work? Any other pros and cons? Do you have a preference? If so, why? While I'm at it, what do you think is a fair contract rate for a good CF developer with seven years experience?
