Darren, At home was a once of, now you seem to be assuming that I am making the change then uploading it to the server. Wrong, I am editing the file directly on the server and saving it on the server.
CVS is over kill here as we have no use for it for one developer. Direct file acces via a network drive mapping at work and rds at home? If seem this before with Dreamweaver. Is it possible that the changes you make to the file are on one machine, you do something trivial with it at the other machine, then when you come back to the original machine the first changes are gone? Or are they gone when you pull the page up from the second machine? I've seen Dreamweaver do some very stupid things with it assuming the files haven't changed, because they weren't changed by the copy of Dreamweaver on that machine, especially if the access methods differ. It used to hand back to me a file that I was last editting, even though someone else had changed it and it was claiming to be directly connecting to the files on the server and not keeping local copies. I can't offer you a solution. This was one of the reasons why I stopped using Dreamweaver. My suggestion to you (unless you are already doing it, although it sound like you are not) is to do your development with a local CF server and use CVS to keep your source files. This should remove this problem. Version control is still a really good thing, even if there is only one of you doing the development.
