All of our sites have access to one level above the web root, so you
can set up folders adn files there. .inside your own space, but
outside the web root.

if you're going to build dynamic web sites, you have to be able to
have your database in a place thats not accessible to the web.   For
those who use access, they have to be able to put it somewhere safe.  
 So on our system you can put any files you like in your space, 
outside the web root.

So come see me if you still have this problem.
