my bad, you want the opposite - keep the browser session alive UNTIL they close

check this idea out. I got it working but we canned the idea by bumping up the session timeout to 8 hours

hope it helps

if I understand the problem correctly...
this is about "sticky sessions", yes? stop the session from remaining when they close and re-open the browser?
if so, the fix is quite simple

How are you wonderful people doing this?

I am aware of a few ways such as setting a limit on the session time, however I am working on a portal that some people have open all day and i dont want them to keep loggin in every ten minutes....

I am thinking also putting the sessionid and userid and time in the cookies and if they all dont align the it kicks them?

Am i on the right track?????

Rob.
