Mark,
The most common problem with UNC paths is that the user that CF
starts with is normally a local user and has no network access.
You need to change the user in the services to be a network user that has
rights on the network drives you are trying to use.

Subject: [cfaussie] DirectoryWatcher: watching a directory over a UNC path
Hey Guys
I don't know if anyone has played around with the DirectoryWatcher
example
(http://livedocs.macromedia.com/coldfusion/7/htmldocs/00001649.htm#135887)
that came along with Blackstone. If you have, have you got is working
over a UNC path?
I've got it all working fine with
directory=C:\\Documents and Settings\\Mark\\My
Documents\\projects\\tests\\dir-watcher\\watch-me
in my directory-watcher.cfg, but if I try:
directory=\\\\pavarotti\\_for-mark-sort
if just fails silently. Various other configurations like mapped
drives throw errors, but I would have expected the UNC path to work.
Any ideas?
