No. The official word goes something like this:
Freehand is no longer a part of Studio. Other products went in (FlashPaper,
Contribute) and it went out.
It is still a stand alone product and is still supported by Macromedia and
available for purchase.
(that was my interpretation of the official wordage, as I remember reading
it a few days ago. The actual words and meanings may differ somewhat, but
thats the general gist of the message)

Macromedia are not about to go dropping any products yet because of any
products that Adobe may have. The merger is still not decided, and it would
be illegal and a bad business decision for either company to start behaving
as if the merger/buy-out were actually going to happen.
Imagine if Freehand was canned and sold off, and then 3 weeks later some
minor US government official announced that the merger was off and not going
to happen. Although unlikely, both companies must behave as if this was
going to happen.
