Sorry I did say without going into to much detail that I have tried JDBC
drivers, and sql 2000 isn't much good as I already know how to setup JDBC
drivers under cf for that. I have the ms JDBC drivers for sql 2005 and can't
get it to work with Coldfusion at all.

Was hoping that someone out there had better luck than I did with the
official JDBC drivers from ms. Or even setting up a datasource under CF.

We have had success in connecting to sql server 2000 (I think this is 
the version of the server) using the opensource jdbc driver above, maybe 
give it a go?
