ahaha copy and paste will only get u so far... refering to the original post, does step 2 need to know the variable? you say that you want to pass the variable from step 1 to step 3 - if you don't need it in the cfc then you could set it as a global js var. otherwise it seems you're going to have to rewrite step 3 to deal with the different data structure, or possibly make a separate call for the variable from step 3.
