Hello.
Has anyone here hooked into the log4j system underlying CF in a
production environment?
I've written some code to hook into it, but I'm not sure where to stash
it within the whole application. At the moment, it gets re-instantiated
when this particular subsystem (an administrative function) is used, and
it's only run by one user, during maintenance, when it is unavailable to
the rest of the world.
I've used log4j rather than cflog because I like being able to change
log levels in code. I.e., I can have different loggers at different
levels (some info, some debug) during development, and swap them all
over to info debug before deploying live.
I'm also using a custom layout with a file appender. Don't like the
layout used by cflog.
Any thoughts/experiences you have had would be most welcome.
