Mike,
Download yourself a copy of SWiSH Video 2.... seriously a
no-brainer for anyone to convert mov, mpg, avi, wmv to FLV (flash video) OR
SWF.
and the cool thing is, it comes with player control skins
that output the SWF with play/pause, stop, rewind, ff buttons etc. if
desired.
sure you can convert movies to swf's easily with the new
Flash 8 video encoder, but you can't make these controls easily... that sold me
on the product.
well worth the US$50 or so.
Good luck with it,
Steve

Subject: [cfaussie] How to make flash video
I am preparing a proposal for a site that's going to contain some
video. The client is going to supply a professionally made series of
video demonstrations of his product, but to tell the truth I'm not certain how
we go about getting the video into flash format.
Do video producers know how to make swf files of their productions? or am i
expected to know how to do that?
In which case, what's involved in getting a video from mpeg or vhs into
flash swf?
