Yes - JRun supports connection pooling. It is done through intercepting your connection calls. You are still free to use the JDBC drivers connection pooling interface and manage pooling yourself but letting JRun manage the pool is obviously much easier.
CFMX uses the same approach as JRun and intercepts db connections and manages the pool for you.
