One thing to note: the page context bug can also occur when storing a CFC in the
application/server/etc scopes and you call isDefined on an unscoped variable that
isn't defined. So something like isDefined("undefinedVar"). This is because we'll
search the request and cgi scopes, which have the bug. -Brian

Thanks Sean - that is exactly what I was looking for.
You have confirmed for me that the "page context bug" is related to
referencing the environment (shared scopes) from an instance CFC - not
STORING an initialised CFC object in shared scopes.
The reason this has had me confused is because we had problems storing an
instance in a shared scope (e.g. Application). So we steered away from
doing that. But now I can see that was not the problem and we can go back
to what we actually want to do.
