Heyas,

I have a category tree system I am fumbling around with, its basically a CFC setup to accept the usual add/update/delete methods.

In my prototype testing I have noticed that coldfusion doesn't keep track of the categories I add to the method, in that i instantiate the object at the start of the page, and then add different categories into different heirachies.. ie

step1 - instantiate the object using createObejct()
step2-5 addCategory[arguments,heriachy1]
step6-10 - addCategory[arguments,heriachy2]
step11 - object.getCategories();
step12 - dump object.getCategories result.

I've attached the code, its simple to setup just change the categoryTest.cfm 's createObject("component","path") to suite your servers setup

Run it, and you will see that the categories come out with different results at times.

Sometimes it will return 6,6 other times it will return 5,6 or 6,4 etc.. its as if CFMX can't handle multiple method calls to an object...

I'm all ears for solutions as to counter-act this aswell.

*Note: The default top level node of teh category is "root" and thats why it returns 6 results instead of 5, as inside the CFC it checks to see if that heirachy exists if not, it creates it aswell.
