Just wanted to share with you an experience installing 6.1.  I installed 6.1 on two development machines with absolutely no problems.  These were both Windows XP machines with the built in CF server and the latest builds of the 6.0 developer editions.

However, when I went to install on my production machine I got errors.  From searching the install logs it looked like the files in the CFUSIONMX/runtime/lib directories were locked.  After shutting down just about everything on my machine I was still having the same problems.  I called tech support and the best they could do was call me back sometime tomorrow.  I wasn't happy at all with this.

To get the 6.1 update working I had to completely uninstall the 6.0 version and whatever portions of 6.1 were on there, then reboot, then install 6.1 anew.  This worked fine, but of course, my settings were lost and I had to recreate data sources, mappings and such.

I had about 45 minutes of downtime screaming and kicking.  Maybe I jumped the gun going to my production machine, but I really thought it would be as simple as it was on the other two machines (The production machine by the way is a small business server 2000 machine).

Anyone else had problems?

Hope this can be of help to someone.

Later,

------------
