Sorry for not pinpointing it better for you Todd... the creation tool under the "Application" section on the components tab... that tool for creating... has nice concept... (unless you happen to hit escape by accident... then it just dumps your work).  See the "+" ... have you ever created a CFC with that tool? Nice tool, but they need to check if someone wants to dump the work when they hit escape... they may have thought they were getting rid of the contents of a box they typed over by mistake. (I did...) Then the whole thing just closes and the work is gone! Also, you cannot reload it during another session of editing... can you? If you can... PLEASE TELL US HOW! You will be flooded with (Stupid Me... sorry for the ignorance) posts and (Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou) posts.

Sincerly,

*peers* John, it sounds like you have something funky going on with your DWMX - My DWMX creates / edits them just fine.

This may have been mentioned before... but there is one serious issue with creating CFCs in Dreamweaver MX, it only creates them. You cannot go back and edit them like you would in studio with a code editor. I realize this would be a bigger issue... but it would be a good issue to solve! Especially if you need to work on the CFC in more than one session!
