In my initial post, I was going off memory. Then I saw Nathan's post and questioned my own. So I tried it quickly off a call to the function via URL and it worked... In fact, you can call the function anywhere but remotely and it works. It won't work remotely, though. Yes, I should have tried to properly consume the service before posting my second post. Forgive me. So my initial post is correct - all parameters have to be present when called remotely. This is not a "bug" - it is in the MX documentation, under Web Services. I don't know the answer as to why.... So I was only wrong on one account, if you are counting for some reason...
