I've recently (about 2 months) got into ColdFusion and have taken a shine to
it. To extend my knowledge a bit more I'm going to invest in a book, which
is where you people come in. Any recommendations chaps?

With all due respect to the authors of the other books who might be lurking on this list, the "ColdFusion MX Bible" by Adam Churvis et al is *phenomenal* and is practically a one-stop resource for all levels of CF development. I can't recommend it enough. It's a perfect balance between intro to CF and advanced concepts, including an excellent treatment of database design for web applications.

I know Rob Brooks-Bilson has a book coming out in a couple weeks that also covers the new MX 6.1 features (which no other book on the market will be able to say, that I know of). So if you've upgraded to the latest MX release, that should be a good option.

Just my $.02.

Regards,
Dave.
