I'm still trying to understand why this is a bad thing.... it doesn't even have to be that complicated, you could just do


<cfthrow message = "ID is not defined">

and it would work. You could also just follow your own pattern...

<cfthrow type="someMethod.missingData" message="You're missing some data" detail="Data missing, doh!">

Are you ever going to have a dynamic method name? Probably not. So, could you clarify why you would need this?
