Hi everybody- I am in urgent need of assistance with an issue I have concerning the OnUnload event in a body tag. I have built a Cold Fusion LMS with the Macromedia Learning Site as a starting point. I am having problems with a coursebuilder action which sends info to a tracking page. Here is how it goes:
1. I have a frameset with three pages. Navigation, ContentPage and tracking page. 2. When someone hits the "next page" button in the navigation frame, the DW Coursebuilder interaction on the html page in the content frame (before it jumps to the next page) is supposed to evaluate the users response, if any, and send the results to the tracking page. I did this by simply adding an OnUnload event handler to the body tag. While it seems that part this works by evidence of a pop-up box showing and giving the user feedback as to their response, it fails to send the info to the tracking frame. 3. For testing purposes, I changed the event handler to OnLoad. In this case the interaction fires off the info to the tracking page immediately without a problem. Of course, the problem in this case is that the user doesn't get an opportunity to answer the question. They just get a zero for the interaction. My question or problem is that I absolutely need to have the results sent to the tracking page using the OnUnload event handler. What am I missing? Does anybody have any suggestions? I'm willing to pay a qualified person to troubleshoot as I am not a JAVA programmer. Thanks.
