What error are you receiving? What version of Oracle? I assume you've already loaded
the appropriate client tools on the SQL box that you want to do the linking?

To All:
Sorry! the question that I am about to ask is not releated to Coldfusion.
I am not sure where I can post my question to?

I am trying to use Linked Servers to connect to my Oracle, but I am not having any
luck...

Here is the tns infomation
TestDrive =
  (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
      (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = Seattle.webxyz.com)(PORT = 1521))
    )
    (CONNECT_DATA =
      (SERVICE_NAME = test)
    )
  )

>From linked server properties, here is what I entered...
Linked Server=TestDrive
Privider name=Oracle Provider for OLE DB
Product name=Oracle
Data Source=testDrive
Provider string = msdaora

Am I missing anything?
thanks
seng
